Sininguelas
When I was a kid, me and my siblings love to eat sininguelas. It is a typical summer fruits here in the Philippines. It is also known as Spanish plum (Spondias purpurea). The siniguelas' skin is often green when unripe and turns yellow or purple when ripe. The fruits are often eaten ripe, with the skin.
Spondias purpurea is a species of flowering plant in the cashew family, Anacardiaceae , that is native to tropical regions of the Americas. It is most commonly known as Jocote, which derives from the Nahuatl word xocotl, meaning "fruit." Other common names include Red Mombin, Purple Mombin, Hog Plum, Sineguela, and Siriguela.
Small to medium-sizedt ree up to 25 feet tall. The leaves are deciduous in the short dry season,
but only fall shortly before the new leaves develop; they are pinnate,
with 7-23 leaflets, each leaflet 3–5 cm long and 1.5–2 cm broad. The flowers are small, reddish-purple, produced in large panicles. The fruit is an edible oval drupe, 3–5 cm long and 2-3.5 cm broad, ripening red (occasionally yellow) and containing a single large seed.
It is now widely cultivated in tropical regions throughout the world for its edible fruit, and is also naturalised in some areas, including the Philippines and Nigeria. Numerous cultivars have been selected for fruit quality. It is also abundant in Central America.

Dos Por Dos
Veteran radio reporters Gerry Baja and
Anthony Taberna are both charming and funny but it doesn't end there.
These two can be the deadliest in commentaries, capable of a blistering
banter and clarifications on socio-political issues.
The first part of Dos Por Dos is a 15-minute newscast and the rest are filled with their sardonic views but humorous nonetheless.

If cartoons have Tom and Jerry and Pinoy
comedy has Dolphy and Panchito, brace yourselves for DZMM’s equally
witty and charming dynamic duo--Tunying and Gerry!
The tandem of veteran radio reporters and commentators Anthony “Tunying” Taberna and Gerry Baja anchor the dynamic news and commentary program titled Dos Por Dos. The said on-air partnership became a hit to its loyal followers because of the two’s relentless commentaries, blistering exchange of ideas and clarifications on various socio-political issues. In fact, the essence of their program is perfectly encapsulated in its battlecry: “Humahataw…Humahagupit! Lumalatay sa Komentaryo!” Their daring opinions on different issues are balanced with their contagious good humor and frequent sardonic views. The program also includes noteworthy sound bites of news personalities.
Aside from the their own views, Tunying and Gerry pay importance to the opinions of their “textmates and textpartners.” They invite their listeners and viewers to interact with them through SMS. Most are fond of sending their violent reactions to the never-ending political circus in the country and reading such feedback adds to the substance of the program.

Anthony Taberna
Name: Anthony Taberna
Born: January 16,1975
Radyo Patrol 28, Anthony Taberna, “Tunying” to his friends and colleagues, a proud son of Nueva Ecija, has already accomplished a lot in the broadcasting industry at the young age of 33.
He started young in the industry. Anthony was 17 years old and a Mass Communication sophomore at New Era University when he had the opportunity to work as a part-time news writer at DZEC, operated by Eagle Broa dcasting Corporation. It was at this station that Anthony honed his journalistic skills and masterfully crafted his talent before a DZMM news manager took notice of him.
In 1997, Anthony transferred to DZMM after he was offered a slot with the Radyo Patrol reportorial group. As a reporter, he covered all the major beats – from Malacañang, to the Senate, House of Representatives, the Supreme Court to name a few.
In 2005, Anthony became the first recipient of the Best Radio Reporter award at the KBP Golden Dove. Indeed, this citation was well-deserved as he was the reporter who aired the content of the infamous Hello Garci recording – one of the most scandalous issues that hit our political scene in the past several years. This feat was followed by his reports from inside the San Carlos Seminary when Attorney Samuel Ong said to have had what he called the ‘mother of all tapes’, referring to the Hello Garci recording. He also proved his versatility when he gave a blow by blow account of Manny Pacquiao’s fight from ringside in Las Vegas.
Recognizing his talents, management tapped Anthony to anchor the developmental program, Ito ang Radyo Patrol, with his current on air partner, Gerry Baja. Together with Gerry, he then moved on to do Gising Pilipinas. It was while anchoring this program, Dos por Dos, a hard hitting program, was born. His incisive analysis of issues and hard-hitting commentary made Anthony a household name and also paved the way for a career on television via Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, which is now Umagang Kay Ganda.

Gerry Baja
His skills are honed by experience. There's no wonder why Gerry Baja can pull off a punch line with much wit and confidence.
Gerry's career took off early. During his junior year in college, he was hired as a news writer in DZEC of Eagle Broadcasting. He was later promoted as a reporter, covering the bloodiest coup d'etat against the Aquino administration in 1989.
In 1995, Gerry moved to ABS-CBN and worked as the Radyo Patrol 25 and later tapped as a desk editor. He got his first crack at anchoring through the program "Ito ang Radyo Patrol" aired every Sunday morning. This paved way to his partnership with Anthony Taberna.

Hair Brushes
Brushing your hair has more advantages than just keeping it neat and clean. Choosing the right hair brush is very important wrong hair brush can lead to unnecessary hair fall and breakage.
There are different kinds of hair brush you can use for your hair type.
Wooden Hair Brush - are usually the best because they have more benefits than some of the
other types. They're more comfortable to hold and much gentler on your
hair, which reduces the risk of damaging your hair when brushing. It gives your hair a good workout and massage.
Soft Plastic Hair Brush - a good affordable choice which can be used for all hair types.
Paddle Hair Brush - this is great for smoothing and detangling hair and boosting its shine and sleekness. It makes your cuticles lie flat and perfect for all different hair types and textures.
Round Hair Brush - has bristles around the entire head of the brush, make the brush look round like a roller. It is great for creating curl,. the larger the brush the bigger the curl you can achieve when blow-drying.
Rubber Base Hair Brush - bristles have dull tips which are gentle on the hair. It's rubber base flexes which causes no tension on the scalp.
Natural Bristle hair Brush - it is best for those who have fine hair, or if you have sensitive hair or scalp. It is the best way for you to get long, healthy hair with a natural shine.

Use credit Card Wisely
Having a credit card is a great convenience, you can make big purchase without having to bring cash. you can even pay for it on a monthly installment at no interest. you can bring it with you when you travel, pay items you bought online and you can also borrow money from it for short term needs.
Your credit card can work for you or against you, depending on your spending habits.
Here are the Dos and Don'ts of Using Credit Cards.
Dos:
- Charge only what you can afford to pay.
- Make wise decisions about purchasing items you need versus those you simply want.
- Pay your credit card bill on time and as much as possible in full.
- Compare your bill when you receive it against your copies of sales slips for your purchases.
- Let your creditor know in advance if you won’t be able to make your monthly payment on time.
Don't
- Use your credit card to make everyday purchases. Items like food,
clothing, and gas shouldn't be purchased with a credit card. Using your
credit card as a substitute for cash is a habit that can quickly lead to debt.
- Get into the habit of making minimum-only payments. Making only the
minimum payment each month increases the amount of time it will take to
pay off your debt.
- Use your credit card to buy things you can’t afford.
- Close out a credit card without knowing how your credit will be impacted.

Facial Exercises
Excellent exercises for face to improve facial muscle tone can be done at home. Make it a daily habit. here are some:
Eyelid Firmer - To discourage fine lines, look at yourself in the mirror. Stare wide eyed as in a surprised look. Shut yes tightly. Repeat six times.
Forehead Lift - To soften forehead lines, look in the mirror. Raise your eyebrows as high as you can. Lower slowly.
Mouth Maneuvers - To smoothen out those fine lines around the mouth. Look at yourself in the mirror. Forced a smile with lips closed. Pucker up those lips as though giving someone a closed kiss.
Cheeky Blow-up - This is a mouth fine line remover. Shut your mouth and with closed lips puff up your cheeks. Push air from one side of the cheek to the next. Slowly release the air. Repeat six times.
Chin-up - This should help you avoid double chin. With an open mouth, thrust forward and up. Feel the chin and neck muscles tighten. Release. Repeat.
Neck-firm - This is your great neck muscle firmer. With an open mouth, say "blah" while sticking your tongue out and downward. It looks funny but it's fun.

Sun Burn Remedies
The sun has ultra violet rays (UVA, UVB) which directly attack the collagen in the dermis, below the skin's surface. The result is a lost of elasticity and resilience of the skin. Therefore, the greater the exposure to the sun, the bigger the damage to the skin.
To relieve sunburn pain and damage:
1. Cut fresh aloe vera into slivers (remove the skin). lay these out over the damage area. Guaranteed results after fifteen minutes. repeat every fifteen minutes until redness or pain disappears.
2. Apple cider vinegar wash - take two tablespoons of vinegar and mix with two tablespoons of water. Mix and spray on the affected area. Repeat every fifteen minutes until pain goes away.
3. Milk spray or bath - chilled milk will soothe a sun burn. apply on the affected area in a compress form.

Rumors
I wonder why people love to talk about other people. Spreading rumors about other people is a bad habit. We don't have the right to judge others, only God can do that. There's a lot of good things to do than spreading rumors. Gossip can break the trust of the people around us. Spreading rumors only hurts others and destroys our credibility.
There are bible verse about controlling our tongues so that we do not speak evil against others and tells us to do more than discuss other people’s lives.
Here are some of the bible verse that we should always remember and follow:
Leviticus 19:16 – “Do not go about spreading slander among your
people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am
the Lord.”
Romans 1:29 – “They have become filled with every kind of
wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder,
strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips.”
1 Timothy 5:13 – “Besides, they get into the habit of being idle
and going about from house to house. And not only do they become
idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not
to.”
Proverbs 18:8 – “The words of gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.”

Looking Young at Age 40!

When I turned 40 last July, I told myself that I don't want to look old. How I wish I still looked the way I looked in my 20s or even my 30s. But as we reached age 40, our body stop producing as much estrogen. This reduces the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin. Collagen is a main structural protein found in our bodies. It makes up more than 80% of our skin. It provides the strength our tissues and organs require. It is produced in huge amounts by our bodies in our younger years
Drinking IVI will help enhance our skin's natural youthfulness. And its antioxidant properties can help neutralize free radicals for overall wellness. I started drinking it second week of February. For almost a week of using it, I noticed there's improvement on my skin. I looked more fresh and glowing. I remembered last Friday when I was in the clinic of my OB GYN while waiting a pregnant woman asked my age, I told her I am already 40 years old, she said I only look like 28 years old. And last Sunday I met my friend's mother, when my friend introduced me to her mother, guess what her mother said to me. She said, "mukha kang dalaga." Wow, I love those people. Imagine at the age of 40 I looked like dalaga!
